The School of Management hosted the inauguration of the PMI Bangalore Chapter – Presidency University Student Club, along with a masterclass on “Project Management: Campus to Corporate Career” on 6 April 2026, from 1.30 pm to 4.00 pm at the University Auditorium. The event, conducted in offline/hybrid mode, was attended by MBA students from 2nd Semester (Sections 1–7) and 4th Semester Operations specialisation (Sections 1–10). The session featured distinguished guests including Mr Balakumar Chinnaiyan, President of PMI Bangalore Chapter and Product Portfolio Director at GE Healthcare, as Chief Guest, and Dr Parvez Alam, Regional Director – PMI South Asia, as Guest of Honour, along with other eminent industry professionals.

The event aimed to introduce students to global project management standards and professional certification pathways such as CAPM and PMP, while fostering practical project execution and leadership skills. Through expert talks and interactions, students gained valuable industry exposure and insights into career opportunities in project management across sectors. The initiative also emphasised enhancing placement readiness through skill-building and encouraged active participation in student-led professional club activities, thereby strengthening the bridge between academic learning and industry expectations.
