SOLAS Aurora 2026: Day 2 Orientation Focuses on Student Engagement and Academic Readiness
The second day of the Aurora 2026 Orientation Programme for BA/B.Sc. Psychology students at the Presidency School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (PSoLAS), Presidency University, Bengaluru, was conducted on 19 June 2026. The sessions were designed to familiarise students with student support services, co-curricular opportunities, academic regulations, and campus life.
The day began with sessions introducing students to various engagement opportunities available at the university. Dr Charitra H.G. presented the co-curricular activities and international relations initiatives, encouraging students to actively participate in global and campus-based learning experiences.
Important awareness sessions on gender sensitisation and POSH were conducted by Mr Vahibaya Khali, while Ms Namratha Jessica, Student Counsellor, addressed counselling, wellness, and student wellbeing. Students were also introduced to the university’s ISR and alumni initiatives by Ms Vanitha R., Head of ISR/Alumni.
Further sessions included an overview of the university website and branding initiatives by Ms Rajitha Rajan, Head of Website and Social Media/Branding, followed by a session on mentorship opportunities by Dr Anni Arnav, Head of Mentor. The university’s NCC and NSS activities were presented by Dr N.S. Nandeesh and Dr Renuka Bhagwat respectively, highlighting avenues for leadership, service, and community engagement.
A major highlight of the day was the detailed academic orientation conducted by Dr Premalatha S. and the programme coordinators. The session provided students with an understanding of the curriculum structure, credit system, attendance requirements, ERP and Linways platforms, academic regulations, clubs, committees, and training opportunities.
The orientation programme concluded with a campus reporting activity led by Ms Aditi Avasthi, Head of Corporate Communications, Media and PR, which enabled students to explore the campus environment and interact with peers and faculty members.
Day 2 of Aurora 2026 successfully strengthened students’ preparedness for university life by offering clarity on academic expectations, student support systems, and the vibrant campus culture at PSoLAS.
