SOL: Nationwide Law Reel Competition 2026

About the Competition

 

The Nationwide Reel Making Competition in Law – 2026 invites law students from across India to create original, engaging and informative reels on contemporary legal and constitutional issues. The competition aims to promote legal literacy, constitutional values and public awareness by encouraging students to simplify complex legal concepts through creative digital storytelling.

 

Eligibility

  • Open to students currently enrolled in a Three-Year LL.B., Five-Year Integrated Law or LL.M. programme at a recognised law school or university in India.

  • Participation is permitted inpidually or in teams of 2 or 3 members.

Competition Themes

 

Participants may create a reel on any one of the following themes:

  • Socio-Legal Issues & Structural Disparities

  • Media Law, Digital Censorship & Freedom of Speech

  • Rights and Welfare of Under-trial Prisoners in India

  • Drug Laws, Substance Abuse Awareness & Impact on Modern Youth

  • Misuse of Online Systems, Deepfakes & Contemporary Cyber Crimes

  • Legal Aid Infrastructure & Equal Access to Justice

Reel Submission Guidelines

  • Content must be original and unpublished.

  • Duration: 45–90 seconds

  • Aspect ratio: 9:16 (vertical format)

  • File size: 50 MB–500 MB

  • Language: English

  • Inpidual and team participation are permitted.

  • Reels may be shot using a mobile phone or camera.

  • Editing tools may be used; however, audio quality must not be compromised.

  • AI-generated content is not permitted. All submissions must be original.

  • Participants must ensure factual accuracy and ethical presentation.

Registration Fee

  • Inpidual: ₹200

  • Team of 2: ₹300

  • Team of 3: ₹500

Important Dates

  • Registration Opens: 20 August 2026

  • Last Date for Registration: 25 September 2026

  • Reel Submission Deadline: 10 October 2026

  • Result Declaration: End of November 2026

Awards

  • Grand National Winner: ₹9,000

  • First Runner-Up: ₹7,000

  • Second Runner-Up: ₹5,000

All participants will receive an E-Certificate of Participation, while winners will also receive Merit Certificates.
