SOL Hosts Two-Day Workshop on Cyber and Forensic Law
The School of Law (SOL), Presidency University, successfully conducted a two-day workshop on Cyber and Forensic Law on 12 and 13 October 2026 at the L Block Seminar Hall.
The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between legal theory and practical applications in the digital domain. It sought to familiarise participants with the practical aspects of cyberspace, including emerging cyber threats, digital evidence, and the legal framework governing cybercrime.
The workshop also explored how forensic techniques, including the collection, preservation and analysis of digital and physical evidence, intersect with legal practice, particularly in criminal investigations, the admissibility of evidence and the administration of justice.
Through expert sessions, case studies and hands-on demonstrations, the workshop aimed to equip students, legal professionals and researchers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to address the legal challenges arising in an increasingly technology-driven world.
