SOL Hosts ‘Ideas & Impact 2026’ National IP-Tech Blog Competition
The IPR & Tech Law Committee, School of Law, Presidency University, successfully organised Ideas & Impact 2026: National IP-Tech Blog Writing Competition on 27 April 2026, bringing together participants from across the country for a dynamic exchange of ideas at the intersection of intellectual property and technology law.
The event commenced with an engaging and thought-provoking session by distinguished speakers Dr T. Ramakrishna, Faculty at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), and Ms Geethanjali K. V., IP Attorney. Their addresses offered valuable insights into emerging trends and contemporary challenges in intellectual property law, setting the tone for the competition.
This was followed by participant presentations that showcased well-researched and innovative perspectives. The discussions explored critical themes such as adapting IP enforcement to the evolving digital landscape, addressing gaps in personality rights in an AI-driven era, and rethinking authorship and ownership in the context of AI-generated content.
The competition concluded with the announcement of winners. TC 15 secured first place, followed by TC 10 as first runners-up and TC 12 as second runners-up. Their submissions stood out for their analytical depth, originality, and clarity.
The event provided a valuable platform for aspiring legal scholars to engage with contemporary issues in IP and technology law. The organisers extended their appreciation to all participants for their enthusiastic contributions, which contributed to the overall success of the competition.
