The Constitutional Law Committee of Presidency School of Law successfully hosted Constitutional Law Symposium 2.0 on 27 March 2026 (Friday) at E Block, Seminar Hall – 4. Centred on the theme “Digital Constitutionalism in a Global Order: Rights, Governance & Democratic Futures,” the event attracted an enthusiastic audience of students, scholars, and legal professionals to explore the evolving intersection of constitutional principles and the digital landscape.

 

The symposium featured two dynamic panel discussions that sparked rigorous intellectual exchange:

 

Panel 1 (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM): Digital Data in the Contemporary Era
Experts unpacked pressing issues surrounding data governance, AI ethics, and the role of technology in shaping constitutional rights, alongside engaging debates on privacy safeguards and regulatory frameworks.

 

Panel 2 (1:30 PM – 4:00 PM): Freedom of Expression and the Ethics of Digital Platforms: Constitutional Accountability in the Age of Big Tech
Panellists examined the influence of Big Tech on free speech, platform moderation, and democratic accountability, drawing insights from global constitutional perspectives.
