The School of Information Science (SOIS) at Presidency University warmly welcomed the incoming BCA and B.Sc. students during the Orientation Programme 2026, held on 29 June 2026.

The programme marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey, introducing students to the University's dynamic learning environment, industry-focused curriculum, academic excellence, and the wide range of opportunities available in innovation, research, certifications, internships, and holistic development. Through interactive sessions with the University leadership and faculty, students gained valuable insights into campus life and the enriching experiences that await them at Presidency University.

 

A key highlight of the programme was the inspiring keynote address by Ms Sushma Chakkirala, Executive Director, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Bengaluru. Drawing on her distinguished career in technology leadership, she encouraged students to embrace lifelong learning, strengthen their technical expertise, and prepare confidently for the ever-evolving technology landscape with innovation and resilience.

 

The event also featured inspiring addresses from the University leadership, campus familiarisation sessions, and opportunities for students to connect with faculty members and their peers. These interactions provided a meaningful introduction to the University's vibrant academic community and collaborative learning culture.
