SOIS Hosts MetaMorphosis 2.0: From Clues to Character to Comics

29-September-2026

MetaMorphosis 2.0 – From Clues to Character to Comics was organised by the Metaverse Society and CogniCore Club, School of Information Science (SOIS), Presidency University, on 29 September 2026 at the University Auditorium, under the theme “Unity in Diversity.”

The event was conceived as a creative, multidisciplinary and team-based challenge that brought together students from diverse schools and disciplines to explore logical reasoning, creativity, character development, visual storytelling, communication and teamwork. The programme featured three interconnected rounds: MetaMystery – The Missing Story, where participants analysed visual clues, symbols and patterns; MetaGenesis – The Character Awakens, where teams transformed these clues into original characters with distinctive personalities and narratives; and MetaCanvas – The Untold Chapter, where participants developed their characters and ideas into structured visual storyboards or comics.

The event was further enriched by the presence of Mr Chandra Mohan Singh Negi, Senior AI Architect at Siemens Technology Services Pvt. Ltd., PyTorch Technical Ambassador – India, and Physical AI & Robotics Researcher. His participation brought an industry perspective and insights into emerging technologies, adding further value to the programme.

The event provided students with a platform to integrate analytical thinking, creativity, visualisation, storytelling, communication and collaborative problem-solving in an engaging environment. The three-stage progression encouraged participants to move from observation and logical deduction to character creation and, finally, to coherent visual storytelling. The evaluation process emphasised originality, logical coherence, presentation, audience engagement and time management.

The programme also promoted cross-disciplinary collaboration and demonstrated the value of bringing together diverse perspectives to achieve a common creative outcome, reflecting its central theme of Unity in Diversity. Participants appreciated the interactive and innovative nature of the event, the opportunity to showcase their technical and creative skills, and the support extended by faculty members, student coordinators and jury members.

The overall response to the event was highly positive, with students describing it as a valuable and memorable experience that encouraged them to think differently, collaborate across disciplines and engage with future innovation-oriented activities.
