The School of Design organised an industrial visit to the India Wood Expo at BIEC on 2 March 2026, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, as an off-campus learning activity. The visit was attended by students and faculty members, providing them with an opportunity to engage with contemporary developments in the woodworking and furniture manufacturing industry.

During the visit, students observed live demonstrations of advanced woodworking machinery, modular systems, and furniture production processes. The expo enabled them to gain practical insights into fabrication techniques, structural detailing, and material applications used in modern design and manufacturing practices.

Students documented their observations through sketches and notes, supporting stronger academic integration with the Foundation curriculum. The visit offered valuable industry exposure and helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world manufacturing practices.
