The Department of Fine Arts, School of Design, organised a two-day outdoor study visit to Cubbon Park (Sri Chamarajendra Park), Bengaluru, as part of the Object and Nature Study course. The visit provided students with an opportunity to observe and study natural forms in an outdoor setting through sketching and visual documentation. Students explored a variety of elements, including trees, plants, flowers, leaves, bark textures and landscapes.

The activity encouraged students to develop a deeper understanding of form, structure, proportion and texture, while observing the interplay of natural light and shadow. Working directly from nature helped students strengthen their observational drawing skills, visual perception and ability to interpret natural forms through artistic expression.

Overall, the outdoor study enhanced students' creativity, observational abilities and appreciation of the natural environment, while providing valuable practical learning beyond the classroom.
