Foundation students from the School of Design (SOD), Presidency University, participated in an educational excursion to Bangalore Creative Circus, where they gained valuable insights through direct engagement with material systems, spatial assemblies, surface treatments and construction details within a real-world, sustainability-driven environment.

The visit offered students the opportunity to observe how materials, structural components and finishing techniques interact within contemporary design and manufacturing contexts. This exposure enabled them to connect theoretical concepts learned in the classroom with practical industry applications.

Through the experience, students developed a deeper understanding of sustainable material practices, spatial organisation and construction methodologies. The excursion also encouraged them to critically analyse how design decisions influence both the functional and environmental aspects of built and manufactured products.
