The Motion Graphics – Character Animation Workshop was conducted by Mr. Shiyas S., Motion Graphics Artist and industry expert, with the objective of introducing Communication Design students to the fundamentals of character-based animation as an effective visual communication medium.

 

Through engaging demonstrations, interactive sessions, and hands-on guidance, the workshop covered the fundamentals of character design, animation principles, and contemporary motion graphics workflows. Mr. Shiyas S. familiarised students with industry-standard tools and techniques, while also providing insights into professional practices and real-world applications within the creative industry.

 

The workshop enabled students to conceptualise, design, and animate simple characters to effectively communicate ideas, narratives, and brand messages. It also encouraged creativity, strengthened storytelling skills, and promoted the practical integration of illustration, typography, and motion within contemporary digital media contexts.
