The School of Design (SOD) will host ‘Crafting Your Career: Portfolio Refinement & Industry Readiness by Alumni’, a masterclass designed to help final-year students strengthen their portfolios and prepare for the transition from academic practice to professional careers.

The session is intended for final-year students from Communication Design, Fashion Design, Product Design and Space Design (Batch 2023), and Multimedia (Batch 2024). Drawing on the experience and insights of SOD alumni, the masterclass will offer students an opportunity to critically review and refine their portfolios, with a focus on effectively presenting their creative practice, skills and project outcomes.

As students prepare to embark on their upcoming Capstone Project, the session will also highlight the importance of developing a strong professional identity and communicating their design thinking with clarity and purpose. Through alumni perspectives and practical guidance, students will gain insights into industry expectations and approaches to presenting their work for future academic and professional opportunities.

The masterclass aims to equip students with greater confidence in shaping their portfolios and articulating their creative journeys as they take their next steps towards professional practice.
