The Presidency School of Commerce organised a Faculty Knowledge Sharing Session on “Learnings from PRAVAH – An IIMBx Faculty Development Programme” under the Vidya Manan – Faculty Knowledge Dissemination Series on 30 July and 8 August 2026. The programme was attended by 52 faculty members.
The sessions were led by Dr Padmavathi M. and Dr Shaply Abdul Kareem, who shared their experiences, learnings and insights from the PRAVAH Faculty Development Programme, sponsored by Presidency University and conducted at IIMBx on 17 and 18 July 2026.
The sessions covered several important dimensions of contemporary teaching and learning, including online course development, course structure and planning, formulation of learning outcomes, assessment strategies, video-based learning and learner engagement. The discussions provided faculty members with valuable perspectives on designing structured, outcome-oriented learning experiences.
A key highlight was the use of artificial intelligence-enabled tools to create educational videos and digital learning content. Faculty members gained practical insights into applying AI and digital technologies to enhance teaching effectiveness and develop engaging learning resources.
The sessions also highlighted the importance of adopting interactive, innovative and learner-centric pedagogical approaches in higher education. The initiative provided a meaningful platform for faculty members to reflect on their teaching practices, exchange ideas and explore emerging digital tools that can enrich the classroom experience.
The Faculty Knowledge Sharing Session under the Vidya Manan Series reflects the institution’s continued commitment to faculty development, knowledge dissemination, pedagogical innovation and technology-enabled education.
