The Presidency School of Commerce, Presidency University, successfully organised an enriching five-day session titled "Beyond the Classroom: Stock Market Insights" for first-year B.Com and BBA students from 13th to 17th July 2026 at Seminar Hall 1, F Block. The programme aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of the stock market while fostering financial literacy and investment awareness in today's dynamic business environment.

 

The session was led by Mr. Kishore B.S., CEO and Co-Founder of Stock Market Institute and Co-Founder of Stockbyte, Bengaluru. Drawing on over two decades of experience with leading organisations such as Reliance, GE Money, and Indiabulls Securities, Mr. Kishore shared valuable insights into stock market fundamentals, investment strategies, financial planning, and the significance of capital markets in wealth creation.

 

A key highlight of the programme was the mock stock trading exercise conducted using the Stockbyte platform. This hands-on activity enabled students to experience a risk-free virtual trading environment, where they explored trading strategies, portfolio management, and real-time market dynamics. The interactive learning experience bridged the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with essential financial knowledge and practical exposure to the world of investing.
