Ms Sirisha S, a student from the School of Allied Health Sciences (SOAHS), proudly represented the university as part of the girls’ Kho Kho team in the AIU South Zone Tournament held from 1 April to 4 April 2026. Her participation marks a significant milestone, reflecting the growing involvement and encouragement of SOAHS students in inter-university sport.

 

The team made its debut appearance in the tournament, gaining valuable exposure and competitive experience at a higher level. In their opening match, they faced a strong opponent from Mother Teresa University, Kodaikanal, particularly its M.P.Ed team. Despite the challenge, the team demonstrated commendable determination, coordination and sportsmanship throughout the match.

 

The contest was highly competitive, with the team putting up a strong fight before finishing with a score of 15–10. Considering the level of opposition, the performance was truly commendable.

 

Overall, this participation stands as an inspiring beginning and sets a strong foundation for future achievements, highlighting the active role of SOAHS students in sporting excellence.
