The Samsung Innovation Campus was inaugurated on March 14, 2025. This state-of-the-art lab is designed to equip students with cutting-edge skills in AI & ML, strengthening the bridge between academia and industry.

The event was graced by eminent guests Prof. S. Sadagopan (Founder Director, IIIT Bengaluru), Sri. Amit Mannan (VP, Head of Network Team, Samsung R&D), Mr. Srimanu Prasad (Senior Director, Tech Strategy Team SRI-Bangalore), Dr. Lokesh Boregowda (Senior Director, CTO Team, Samsung R&D Institute) and other distinguished leaders from Samsung.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Dr. Nissar Ahmed, Chancellor; Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar; and Dr. Md Sameeruddin Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Engineering), who delivered the welcome address, emphasising the integration of AI and emerging technologies into the curriculum. Also present were Dr. Anu Sukhdev, Dean, Student Affairs, and Dr. B.V. Prabhu, Director – Placement Cell, who concluded the event with a vote of thanks. The inauguration ceremony was followed by a special session on AI/ML which was conducted by Samsung experts.

This event marks a major step forward in fostering technological excellence at Presidency University.
