Presidency University celebrated the 77th Republic Day with pride and patriotic spirit on 26 January 2026, through a vibrant campus programme organised by the Department of Student Affairs (DSA). The event brought together university leadership, students, and NCC cadets, reflecting the institution’s commitment to national values and collective responsibility. Around 150 students actively participated through performances and organisational roles.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. S. J. Thiruvengadam, Vice Chancellor, along with senior university officials, symbolising unity and respect for the nation. A disciplined NCC parade set the tone, followed by cultural performances including group songs and a themed dance titled India’s Pride, showcasing India’s rich heritage and unity in diversity.

The programme also featured a theatre presentation conveying patriotic values and a yoga demonstration emphasising discipline and holistic well-being. The celebration concluded on a reflective note, reinforcing patriotism, unity, and national responsibility across the campus community.
