Report on Participation in AIU 39th Inter-University South West Zone Youth Festival (UNIFEST) 2025–26
Presidency University is proud to report the enthusiastic participation of its students in the AIU’s 39th Inter-University South West Zone Youth Festival 2025–26 (UNIFEST), titled YUVOTSAVA-2026, held from 9 to 13 February 2026. The festival was organised under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, and graciously hosted by JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru.
The festival commenced with a vibrant and grand cultural procession, marking an energetic and celebratory inauguration. The hoisting of the Presidency University flag, followed by a spirited procession and captivating stage performances, set an inspiring tone for the event. It was a moment of immense pride to witness the University being represented with enthusiasm, dignity, and cultural excellence on a prestigious inter-university platform.
YUVOTSAVA-2026 witnessed the participation of over 1,500 students from more than 35 universities across the South West Zone, representing institutions from Maharashtra to Karnataka. Presidency University students actively competed in 15 cultural and literary events, including Classical Vocal Solo, Light Vocal Solo (Indian), Western Vocal Solo, Group Song (Indian and Western), Instrumental (Indian and Western), One Act Play, Debate, Elocution, Classical Dance, Folk Dance, On-the-Spot Painting, and Cartooning.
The University team demonstrated exceptional talent, discipline, and team spirit across all events, competing alongside some of the finest universities in the zone. A special mention is due to Ms Mameesha from the School of Law, who secured Fourth Place in Western Vocal Solo, bringing laurels to the University. Her achievement is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and artistic excellence nurtured at Presidency University.
The participation and recognition received at YUVOTSAVA-2026 mark a proud moment for Presidency University. The University extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participating students for their commitment, hard work, and exemplary representation at this prestigious national-level cultural festival.
