The Department of Languages organized a Kannada Club activity titled "Sacrifices and Struggle for Freedom of the Father of Our Nation", featuring a talk by Professor S.S. Ramesh on 24th January 2025 at 2:00 PM. The event was conducted offline with 106 participants in attendance.

Organized at the request of the Government of Karnataka to commemorate the centenary of the Congress conference held in Belgaum, the session aimed to educate students about Mahatma Gandhi’s pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle. Professor Ramesh provided an insightful discourse on Gandhi’s sacrifices, non-violent resistance, and impact on India’s independence, inspiring students to reflect on the historical significance of the movement.
