On 26 September 2026, beginner French learners from the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Presidency University took part in “Discover the EU”, a multilingual workshop held at Alliance Française de Bangalore to celebrate the European Day of Languages.

Organised by the Association of Teachers of European Languages in India (ATELI), in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union to India and EUNIC, the event opened with a welcome address by EU representatives, who introduced students to the European Union in India and its spirit of unity in persity.

Through engaging, gamified sessions – including locating the 27 EU member states on a map, AI-driven conversation games, and naming countries in different European languages – students practised their language skills alongside learners from across Bengaluru.

Our students returned enthusiastic and inspired, with certificates of participation and several prizes to their credit.
