Presidency School of Management (PSOM), in collaboration with Alice Blue Financial Services, successfully organised a guest talk on “Unlocking Opportunities in Capital Markets” on December 11, 2025. The session was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world financial market practices and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.

The event featured two distinguished industry experts, Mr. Anil Kumar K.A., Vice President and Head of Commodities, Alice Blue Financial Services, and Ms. Ranjini Rachel N., Assistant Manager – Mutual Funds, Alice Blue Financial Services.

Mr. Anil Kumar K.A. provided a comprehensive overview of the capital markets ecosystem with a special emphasis on commodities trading, risk management practices, and emerging opportunities in the Indian financial markets, while also highlighting the importance of analytical skills, market discipline, and ethical conduct for aspiring finance professionals.

Ms. Ranjini Rachel N. offered valuable perspectives on the mutual funds industry, investor behaviour, portfolio diversification, and career opportunities in investment advisory and wealth management, helping students connect theoretical concepts with practical investment decision-making.

The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion, where students actively participated, sought career guidance, and gained clarity on skill requirements, certifications, and prospects in the capital markets domain.

The event reinforced the school's commitment to industry–academia collaboration and experiential learning by providing students with meaningful exposure to contemporary market practices and professional expectations in the financial services industry.
