The Legal Services Clinic, School of Law, Presidency University (PSOL), successfully organised a three-day Legal Aid Camp in Doddaballapura Taluk, concluding on 25 February 2026. The initiative focused on enhancing legal awareness, identifying documentation challenges, and strengthening access to welfare schemes among economically vulnerable communities.

 

Day 1: Melinajuganahalli – Door-to-Door Legal Awareness Drive

 

Final-year law students and trained Legal Aid Volunteers conducted structured door-to-door interviews with residents. The team assessed levels of legal awareness, documentation status, and access to various government welfare schemes. This direct engagement provided valuable insight into the ground realities faced by rural communities.

 

Day 2: Gunjur – Community Outreach and Survey

 

The outreach continued in Gunjur village, where students surveyed households to identify procedural and documentation barriers preventing families from accessing their statutory entitlements. The activity offered practical exposure and reinforced the importance of grassroots legal intervention.

 

Day 3: Valedictory Ceremony

 

The camp concluded with a valedictory ceremony attended by distinguished members of the legal fraternity, whose presence and guidance greatly enriched the event:
