Presidency School of Information Science (PSIS), Presidency University, Bengaluru, hosted the Bengaluru segment of the 7th International Conference on Advances in Computer Engineering and Communication Systems (ICACECS 2026) on 6 August 2026. The two-day conference, held on 6–7 August 2026, was organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, VNR VJIET, Hyderabad, in collaboration with the College of Information, University of North Texas, USA, with Presidency University serving as a co-located venue.

 

ICACECS 2026 brought together researchers, academicians, students and industry professionals to discuss emerging developments in computer engineering and communication systems. The conference covered areas including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analytics, Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing and IoT, Distributed Computing, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, Smart Systems and Communication Networks.

 

Inaugural Ceremony

 

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dr S. J. Thiruvengadam, Vice Chancellor, Presidency University, and attended by Dr S. Sivaperumal, Pro Vice Chancellor and Director – International Relations; Dr Venkateswaran S., Registrar; Dr R. Mahalakshmi, Dean, PSIS; Dr Renukadevi M., Head – PG pision, PSIS; and Dr Vetrimani Elangovan, Head – UG pision, PSIS.

Dr R. Mahalakshmi, Dean, PSIS, delivered the Welcome Address, highlighting the importance of research-driven learning and engagement with emerging technologies.

 

Keynote Address

 

Ms Rajalakshmi Srinivasan, Director – Product Management, Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, was the Chief Guest and keynote speaker. Her keynote, “Intelligent Computing and Emerging Technologies: Shaping the Future of Digital Transformation,” offered insights into intelligent computing, leadership, emerging technologies and the evolving digital landscape.

The Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Vice Chancellor also addressed the gathering, emphasising academic excellence, global engagement, technological advancement and research.

 

Technical Sessions and Research Contributions

 

Two technical tracks were conducted at the Presidency University venue, with Dr Vijayalakshmi P. and Dr Komalavalli C. serving as Session Chairs.

Presidency University recorded nine accepted research papers, with two papers receiving Best Paper Awards across different technical tracks. The papers were peer-reviewed based on originality, innovation, technical depth, relevance, contribution and readability.

 

The conference provided an opportunity for researchers, faculty, students and industry professionals to present their work, exchange perspectives and explore avenues for future academic and professional engagement.

 

The successful conduct of the Bengaluru segment reaffirmed Presidency University's commitment to research excellence, scholarly exchange and engagement with emerging technologies.
