PSoD Signs MoU with Hire Designers to Boost Creative Careers

27-February-2026

On 27 February 2026, Presidency School of Design (PSoD) formalised a landmark partnership with Hire Designers, the world’s largest design-exclusive recruitment agency. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Chancellor’s Board Room by Mr Parth Parikh, Co-founder of Hire Designers, and Dr S J Thiruvengadam, Vice-Chancellor of Presidency University. This collaboration marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between design education and industrial excellence, aligning with the "Design in India" movement to establish the nation as a global creative hub.

The morning session, facilitated by the CSIC department, featured insightful addresses from PSoD Director Ms Srishti Bajaj and Mr Parikh, who highlighted the essential synergy between academic training and professional adaptability. Following the formal signing, discussions focused on how this partnership will provide students with unparalleled access to over 50 design disciplines—ranging from UI/UX and architecture to fashion and industrial design. By leveraging Hire Designers’ extensive network of leading brands, the initiative ensures that PSoD graduates are not only technically proficient but also growth-oriented and ready to drive meaningful impact.

The event concluded with an engaging interactive masterclass led by Mr Parikh for the PSoD student body from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. During this session, students gained first-hand insights into the evolving expectations of the global design market and the diverse career trajectories available to them. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to fostering a vibrant ecosystem where creativity meets industry demand, empowering the next generation of designers to transform their passion into successful, world-class careers.
