PSOCSE Inspires Future Engineers Through Engineers’ Day Outreach

On the occasion of Engineers’ Day on 15 September 2026, Ms Sumita Guddin, Assistant Professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering (PSCS), Programme Project Coordinator – COM & ISE Department, Presidency University, Bengaluru, AI Club Member, and Chairperson of the ADIOX Coding Vertical, was invited as a Guest Speaker to interact with students at her alma mater, Manasa Ganga English Medium School, Dharwad.

 

The session was conducted on behalf of the AI Club and ADIOX Coding Vertical of Presidency University. The event was organised by the school’s founders, Mr R. M. Mulla and Mr S. S. Jadhav, and coordinated by Ms Ganga Hiremath and Ms Ayesha Nadag.

 

The interactive session focused on creating awareness among 10th Standard students about career opportunities after SSLC. Students were guided on the importance of academic performance, extracurricular activities, skill development, and building a strong academic profile for future studies and careers. Various educational pathways, including Science, Commerce, and Arts, were discussed to help students make informed decisions about their future.

 

To make the session engaging and enjoyable, coding-based quizzes and multiple-choice activities were conducted, encouraging active participation and critical thinking. The students responded enthusiastically, making the programme both informative and inspiring.

 

The session concluded with positive feedback and renewed interest among the students in exploring engineering and technology-related careers.
