Presidency School of Computer Science and Engineering organised the inauguration of the VisionX Club on 2 March 2026 from 9.00 am to 11.00 am. The event was conducted in offline mode and witnessed active participation from students. The session began with a welcome address by Ms Smitha SP, Assistant Professor, followed by an introduction of the Chief Guest, Ms Janani Suresh, AI/ML Engineer, by Dr Blessed Prince P., Professor and HoD. Dr Durai Pandian N, Dean, addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of fostering innovation and collaboration through such initiatives.

Ms Janani Suresh, an AI Specialty Development Engineer at Ford Motor Company, Chennai, shared valuable insights drawn from her extensive experience in AI/ML, including conversational AI, deep learning, and MLOps. Her professional journey, spanning roles at AstraZeneca and Orion India Systems, reflects her expertise in emerging technologies and industry applications. Her address provided students with a deeper understanding of industry expectations and inspired them towards practical career development and innovation.

The event aimed to formally establish the VisionX Club as a platform for innovation, encourage industry interaction, and promote collaborative learning. It also marked the release of the hackathon problem statement scheduled for 4 March 2026. The session received highly positive feedback and concluded with a vote of thanks, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to nurturing future-ready engineers.
