PSOCSE Hosts Seminar on Unlocking Innovation with Generative AI

The School of Computer Science and Engineering (PSCS), Presidency University, Bengaluru, successfully organised a seminar titled “Unlocking Innovation with Generative AI” on 18 August 2026 at the MBA Block. The session featured Dr R. G. Sakthivelan, Head, Department of ISE, Gopalan College of Engineering and Management, Bengaluru, as the Resource Person. He shared valuable insights into the evolving landscape of Generative AI and its potential to transform education, research, and industry.

 

The session covered key areas including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, AI agents, autonomous workflows, and multi-agent applications. Dr Sakthivelan also discussed the applications of Generative AI in education, research, creativity, problem-solving, and industry, while highlighting the importance of responsible and ethical AI practices.

 

The seminar provided students with practical insights into emerging AI technologies and helped them understand how AI tools and agents can be effectively used to improve productivity and address complex challenges. The discussion on prompt engineering and multi-agent collaboration further encouraged students to explore the practical applications of AI beyond conventional use cases.

 

The session was highly informative and engaging, enhancing students’ awareness of Generative AI and its emerging applications. It encouraged innovative thinking, problem-solving, and responsible use of AI, while helping students develop a better understanding of the skills and opportunities required to prepare for an increasingly AI-driven academic and professional landscape.
