PSOCSE Hosts Peer-to-Peer Session on Future-Ready AI Learning
The Presidency School of Computer Science and Engineering (Specialisation Division) successfully organised a Peer-to-Peer Learning session titled “Future-Ready with AI: Learn, Build, and Lead Together” on 15 April 2026, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm at E Block Seminar Hall 03. The session was delivered by Mr Priyesh Srivastava, a third-year B.Tech (CSE – AI & ML) student of Presidency University, Bengaluru, making it a highly engaging and relatable peer-led initiative. The event effectively bridged the gap between academic concepts and industry expectations in Artificial Intelligence, with focused discussions on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), advanced retrieval techniques, and production-level AI system design. Students also gained insights into real-world challenges, including the limitations of large language models and the need for scalable and reliable AI architectures.
The interactive format encouraged active participation, enabling students to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions throughout the session. Key takeaways included a structured roadmap for learning AI, understanding of RAG architectures and vector databases, exposure to modern AI tools and frameworks, and guidance on career pathways and project-building strategies. Participants were also provided with curated AI resources and research materials, motivating them to explore real-world applications and pursue specialisation in AI domains. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the speaker, faculty members, organisers, and participants, and was widely appreciated for its informative and impactful nature.
