The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (PSCS), Presidency University, Bengaluru, organised the Data Analyst: Skills, Tools & Career Programme on 7 September 2026, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, at F Block Seminar Hall 1. The offline programme was convened by Dr Asif Mohamed H B, Associate Professor and Head, and coordinated by Dr Taranath N L, Associate Professor, and Mr Jerrin Joe Francis, Assistant Professor, PSCS. The session was attended by 110 students.

The programme focused on equipping participants with industry-relevant knowledge and skills in data analytics, with emphasis on career opportunities, essential skills, industry tools, certifications, resume building, interview preparation and career roadmaps for Data Analysts. Participants also gained insights into industry expectations and the competencies required for roles such as Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Reporting Analyst and Junior Data Scientist.

The session was led by Mr Akash Ganjal, Director (Senior Manager), Morgan Stanley, Mumbai, who shared valuable industry perspectives and practical career guidance. The programme enhanced participants’ awareness of career pathways and industry requirements while encouraging them to develop technical skills, industry-ready projects and professional portfolios to strengthen their career preparedness.
