PSOCSE Hosts Bonjour India: A Cultural Exchange

The Presidency School of Computer Science & Engineering (PSCS) organised “Bonjour India: A Cultural Exchange” on 18 September 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:15 pm at E Block, Seminar Hall 4. The event brought together 54 students, including international students participating in the Semester Exchange Programme, to encourage meaningful cross-cultural interaction, inclusivity and global exposure. The programme was convened by Dr N Duraipandian, Dean, PSCS, and Dr Pallavi R, Professor and HoD, PSCS, and coordinated by Ms Shet Reshma Prakash and Ms Prachi Amol Gadhikar.

 

The event featured a range of engaging activities, including a Map Pinning Challenge, “About India” and “About France” presentations, cultural performances, and an interactive feedback and discussion session. Students shared insights into their cultures, traditions, lifestyles, education systems and experiences, creating opportunities to learn from one another and build meaningful connections. The activities also encouraged communication, collaboration and active participation in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

 

The programme enhanced students’ cross-cultural understanding, global awareness and appreciation of diversity, while providing insights into international academic opportunities and student exchange experiences. The event also encouraged students to exchange ideas, develop interpersonal skills and recognise shared values across cultures. Overall, Bonjour India: A Cultural Exchange provided a vibrant platform for students to connect, learn and celebrate cultural diversity beyond the classroom.
