The AI Club and ADIOX Coding Hub, under the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, organised a departmental outreach activity at Government Polytechnic, Rajanukunte, Yelahanka, on 24 June 2026.

 

Ms Sumita Guddin, Assistant Professor, Presidency School of Computer Science and Engineering, Presidency University, Bengaluru, was invited as the Guest Speaker to deliver a three-hour interactive session titled “Beyond CGPA: Building Your Success Story.” The session encouraged students to look beyond academic grades and focus on developing a well-rounded profile through technical expertise, soft skills, communication, and professional readiness.

 

The programme featured engaging activities, including a quiz, a “Guess the Personality” session, and practical guidance on résumé building, providing students with valuable insights into career development and employability. Students participated enthusiastically throughout the session, making it an engaging and enriching learning experience.

 

During the Valedictory Function held on 8 July 2026, Ms Sumita Guddin attended as the Guest of Honour and shared the dais with Shri S. R. Vishwanath, Hon'ble MLA of Yelahanka Constituency; Dr GopalKrishna Shyam, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Presidency University; the Principal of Government PU College, Rajanukunte; Mr Gourish Gangadhar Nesaragi, Senior New Product Designer and distinguished alumnus; and a respected advocate.

 

In recognition of her contribution, Ms Sumita Guddin was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation. The event concluded on an inspiring note, motivating students to develop their skills, embrace lifelong learning, and create their own success stories.
