PSOCSE Conducts Kubernetes Beginner Training Programme

13-April-2026

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering successfully organised a Student Training Programme titled “Unlocking Kubernetes: A Beginner’s Guide” on 13 April 2026 at Seminar Hall 2 and LSL04. The programme was conducted across three sessions and aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of Kubernetes and cloud-native application development. The sessions were led by Dr Jalaja G, Professor and Head, Department of AI & ML; Dr Manjula L, Associate Professor, Department of AI & ML; and Ms Pratyaksha S, Assistant Professor, Department of AI & ML.

The training programme provided participants with a comprehensive introduction to containerisation and Kubernetes, covering key topics such as Docker basics, Kubernetes architecture, deployments, services, ConfigMaps, scaling, load balancing, storage management, monitoring, and logging. Through practical demonstrations and a hands-on laboratory session, attendees gained experience in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes clusters, enabling them to connect theoretical concepts with real-world implementation.

The programme successfully demystified Kubernetes for beginners and strengthened participants’ understanding of modern DevOps and cloud-native technologies. Students developed confidence in deploying, scaling, and managing containerised applications while gaining valuable insights into industry-relevant practices. The event equipped participants with practical skills and a strong foundation for further exploration of Kubernetes, supporting both their academic learning and future career aspirations in the technology sector.
