PSAIAC to Host AICTE–ATAL-Sponsored FDP on Generative AI and Large Language Models

07-December-2026

The Department of Data Science and Computing Systems (DSC), under the Presidency School of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing (PSAIAC), Presidency University, Bengaluru, is organising an AICTE–ATAL-sponsored six-day offline Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) from 7 to 12 December 2026.

The programme aims to equip participants with an understanding of emerging generative artificial intelligence technologies, large language models and their applications in academia, research and industry. It will cover foundational concepts, advanced model architectures, practical techniques and hands-on experience with AI development tools.

With a special focus on the AI Centre of Excellence accelerated by NVIDIA, the programme will introduce participants to GPU-accelerated AI computing and contemporary approaches to building, adapting and optimising AI applications.

Target Participants

The programme is intended for faculty members, research scholars and postgraduate students from AICTE-approved institutions, particularly those working in or interested in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and allied disciplines.

Registration

Registration is free, and seats are limited. Interested participants are encouraged to register early.

Special Focus: AI Centre of Excellence Accelerated by NVIDIA

The programme offers participants an opportunity to explore next-generation AI technologies, strengthen their technical knowledge and understand the practical applications of Generative AI and LLMs in teaching, research and innovation.

Through expert-led sessions, practical exercises and project-based learning, the FDP aims to support the integration of emerging AI technologies into academic and research environments.
