PSAIAC Students Gain Industry Exposure at Amazon Fulfilment Centre, Bengaluru
The oNe-O-oNe Coding Club of the Presidency School of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing (PSAIAC), Presidency University, organised an industrial visit to the Amazon Fulfilment Centre (BLR8), Bengaluru, on 23 September 2026.
The visit provided students with an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the integration of technology, logistics, automation and innovation in large-scale industrial operations. The objective was to help students understand how computing and technology are applied in real-world fulfilment and supply chain environments.
During the visit, students gained insights into inventory management, warehousing, order processing, automated sorting, tracking systems and the end-to-end fulfilment cycle. The Amazon Fulfilment Operations Team also provided an overview of how software systems, algorithms, automation and technology-driven processes contribute to operational efficiency and accuracy.
The visit also highlighted the importance of workplace safety, professional discipline, operational standards and site compliance in an industrial environment.
The industrial exposure enabled students of the Presidency School of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing (PSAIAC) to connect their academic learning with practical industry applications. It helped them understand how concepts related to computing, automation and technology are implemented to address real-world operational challenges at scale.
The visit concluded with valuable insights into technology-driven logistics, automation, supply chain operations and professional work culture, providing students with a meaningful industry-learning experience.
