PSAIAC Hosts Industry–Academia Interaction on Digital Learning with Oracle Academy

The Presidency School of Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Computing (PSAIAC), Department of AI & Robotics, organised an Industry–Academia Interaction Series titled "Future-ready Faculty: Driving Digital Learning with Oracle Academy" on 15 July 2026 at Seminar Hall 4, E Block, Presidency University.

 

The session was organised to strengthen faculty capabilities by introducing educators to Oracle Academy's global academic ecosystem, cloud technologies, database platforms, AI-enabled learning resources, and industry-aligned curriculum support.

 

The programme was graced by Dr Shakkera L, Professor and Dean, PSAIAC, and Dr Zafar Ali Khan N, Professor and Head of the Department, PSAIAC, who served as the Convenor. The event was coordinated by Dr Md Mujeerulla (Associate Professor), Mr Santhosh Kumar K L (Assistant Professor), Mr Venkatesan D (Assistant Professor), and Ms Priyanki Dutta (Assistant Professor). A total of 43 faculty members participated in the interaction.

 

The expert session was delivered by Ms Neema, Programme Manager, Oracle Academy, who shared valuable insights into Oracle Academy's educational initiatives, curriculum resources, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, database technologies, Java programming resources, artificial intelligence learning pathways, certification opportunities, and cloud-based teaching tools.

 

The interactive session demonstrated how Oracle Academy empowers educators through complimentary curriculum resources, hands-on laboratories, cloud access, project-based learning modules, and professional development opportunities. Faculty members explored strategies for integrating industry-relevant technologies into academic curricula while enhancing experiential learning and improving student employability.

 

The interaction also highlighted opportunities to strengthen academia–industry collaboration through Oracle Academy's global learning ecosystem. Participants gained practical insights into adopting technology-driven teaching methodologies and leveraging Oracle's platforms to prepare students for emerging careers in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, database technologies, and software development.

 

The event concluded with an engaging discussion, during which faculty members appreciated the practical demonstrations and expressed keen interest in integrating Oracle Academy resources into their teaching while encouraging students to pursue Oracle certifications.

 

The programme successfully reinforced PSAIAC's commitment to empowering educators through continuous professional development and fostering strong industry partnerships to deliver future-ready education.
