Presidency University Signs MoU with Berger Paints India Limited to Enhance Student Employability

Presidency University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Berger Paints India Limited to create enhanced career opportunities for students through a structured training and recruitment initiative.

 

The MoU establishes a collaborative framework under which Berger Paints and Presidency University will work together to identify, train, and recruit final-year students for frontline sales roles in Berger Paints India Limited. This initiative will be implemented through a Customised Training and Recruitment Programme, designed to equip students with industry-relevant skills and prepare them for professional roles within the organisation.

 

The signing ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from both organisations. From Berger Paints India Limited, the delegation included Mr. Sayan Banerjee, Lead – Talent Acquisition, and Mr. Piyush Rawat, General Manager – Learning and Development. Representing Presidency University were Dr. S. J. Thiruvengadam, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Vidya Sankar Shetty, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr Krishna Kumar, Dean, School of Management and other program chairs of School of Management and the Career Services and Industry Connect Team.

 

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar, Presidency University, and Mr. Ranjan Banerjee, Group Head – Human Resources, Berger Paints India Limited. The signed document was subsequently exchanged by the leaders from both institutions in the presence of the distinguished gathering.

This partnership marks an important step toward strengthening industry–academia collaboration and reflects Presidency University’s continued commitment to enhancing student employability through meaningful engagement with leading organisations.
