Presidency University inaugurated the orientation program of two of its biggest schools, the School of Engineering and the School of Computer Science & Engineering, on July 31, 2024, at the grand lawns.

Key officials from the University, Mr. Salman Ahmed, Vice President of Presidency University; Dr. Anubha Singh, Vice Chancellor in Charge; Pro VCs Dr. A. M. Surendra Kumar and Dr. M. Dhanamjaya; Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar; and Dr. Mrinmoy Biswas, Registrar, Accreditations and Rankings inaugurated the event and addressed the gathering of the excited students and their parents.

In their addresses, the officials gave an overview of the university, highlighting its commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation, as well as the holistic development of each student. They assured the students an enriching academic experience and extended their best wishes for a successful educational journey at the university.

Dr. Abdul Sharief, Dean, School of Engineering, and Dr. Sameeruddin Khan, Dean, School of Computer Science and Engineering, introduced their respective schools and discussed key aspects of how they nurture future engineers.

Other academic and non-academic departments too introduced their function, processes and explained how they will support and encourage students throughout their studies at the university. The event was immediately followed by Lunch and registrations.
