Presidency University successfully participated in the Networking Session with the UK Delegation on Urban Systems held at the prestigious IISc Campus, Bengaluru, on March 7, 2025. Representing the university, Assistant Professors Mr. Karthik M. H. and Mr. Gopalakrishnan N. from the Department of Civil Engineering of Presidency School of Engineering contributed significantly to this high-impact event, which brought together academia, startups, and industry leaders from India and the United Kingdom.

The session emphasised the significance of strengthening industry-academia partnerships by engaging with global urban technology pioneers, opening doors for joint research projects, faculty exchange programs, and industry consultancy services. It also highlighted the role of GIS and UAV technologies in sustainable urban mapping, disaster resilience, and efficient resource management. Furthermore, interactions with UK-based startups and research institutions laid a strong foundation for knowledge transfer and innovation, fostering groundbreaking solutions to address urban development challenges in India.
