Presidency University celebrated Kal-Utsav’25 on September 26, 2025. The event was a grand celebration that brought together the rich tapestry of India's cultural heritage on one vibrant campus. The event witnessed the participation of 7,000+ students in the grand lawn area, which was a dazzling mix of tradition, talent, and togetherness.

The highlights of the event included a captivating showcase of various regional art forms, from the rhythmic grace of Ghoomar, the elegance of Kashmiri folk dance, Lavani from Maharashtra, the festive spirit of Bihu from Assam, the vibrant beats of Northeast tribal dances, the earthy rhythms of Tamil Nadu’s Kuttu dance, and the devotional Gondhal dance from Maharashtra, and a skit from the Mahabharata, narrating timeless lessons through expressive performances and theatrical brilliance. Every act brought alive the depth and diversity of India’s performing arts.

The evening of Kal Utsav became more vibrant with a live dhol and DJ, which set the pace for an electrifying Dandiya and Garba night. The music, which was a blend of folk and contemporary beats, made students dance with joy late into the night.

The venue also had thematic and game zones, and food stalls under the banner "Taste of India" served regional delicacies. The crafts and merchandise stalls added charm, giving students the chance to take home a piece of the celebration.

The grand festive evening was coordinated by the Department of Student Affairs under the leadership of Dr. Anu Sukhdev, Dean, Student Affairs.
