The 80th Independence Day Celebration at Presidency University, Bengaluru, was marked by patriotic spirit and enthusiasm, bringing together students, faculty, staff and distinguished dignitaries.

 

The celebration was graced by the Chief Guest, Major General George Nariamparambil, Vishisht Seva Medal, along with Mr Suhael Ahmed, Vice President, Presidency Group of Institutions; Hon’ble Chancellor Dr Nissar Ahmed; Vice Chancellor Dr Thiruvengadam; Provost Dr Dinesh Nilkant; Pro Vice Chancellors Dr Vidya Shetty and Dr Shivaperumal; and Registrar Dr Venkateswaran S.

 

The programme featured the hoisting of the National Flag, the Chief Guest’s address and an NCC Parade, adding to the spirit and significance of the occasion.

 

Celebrated under the theme “Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat @2047”, the event highlighted the vital role of young people in shaping India’s future and contributing to the vision of a developed nation by 2047.

 

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks to the dignitaries, faculty, staff, students and the DSA team for their presence and valuable contributions towards making the event a success.
