Presidency University celebrates 7th convocation ceremony

Presidency University hosted its biggest annual academic event, the 7th convocation ceremony, on the campus on November 29, 2024. The inauguration ceremony was graced by chief guest Shri. Rakesh Singh, Chairman, Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority, and presided over by the Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Nissar Ahmed, along with key officials Mr. Suhael Ahmed, Vice Chairman, Presidency Group of Institutions; Mr. Salman Ahmed, Vice President, Presidency University; Dr. Nafeesa Ahmed, Director, Presidency Group of Institutions; Dr. Vijayan Immanuel, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Md. Sameeruddin Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor (Engineering); Dr. M. Dhanamjaya, Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration); Dr. Vidya Shankar Shetty, Pro Vice Chancellor; and Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar.
Mr. Singh addressed the graduating students by emphasizing the importance of education as the right path in shaping the past, present, and future of themselves, their nation, and the world. He also underscored the significance of honoring the sacrifices of our parents in providing the best education for their children. Dr. Immanuel presented the annual academic report, which highlighted the achievements of Presidency University during the academic year 2023-24.
The ceremony proceeded with the felicitation of 3879 graduates, including 19 gold medalists from eight schools and 75 PhD scholars who were awarded doctorates. The convocation day concluded on a high note, celebrating the academic excellence and dedication of all graduates and scholars.
