Presidency School of Law Concludes Three-Week Orientation with Expert Talks, Court Visits & Alumni Interaction
Presidency School of Law successfully conducted a three-week orientation program for the newcomers from June 23 to July 11, 2025. The first week featured two expert lectures, designed to shape the perspective and professional mindset of incoming law students. Key speakers Adv. Nayatara B.G. and Mr. B. Ramaswamy, Managing Director of Landmaster Project Weblinks Pvt. Ltd. and former COO of Fox Mandal, in their sessions addressed the fundamental dimensions of legal education and competencies required of a 21st-century law graduate.
The second week included two educational visits organised by the Legal Services Clinic. The first visit was to Vidhana Soudha, which included an insightful address by Dr. G. Vishvanatha, Private Secretary to the Hon’ble Chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council. The second visit was to the High Court of Karnataka, which offered the students a valuable opportunity to observe and gain insights into the workings of the Indian judiciary in a real-time setting. Later an industry expert session was conducted titled "Harnessing the Magic of Self-Esteem," where the key speaker, Prof. Ramachandran A, a former professor at the LBS National Academy of Administration, shared valuable insights on the role of self-esteem in personal and professional growth, especially in the legal field.
The orientation program also included an alumni interaction session, featuring two esteemed alumni: Adv. Ishita Vats, Associate at Kochar & Co., and Adv. Tushar T.K., Associate at Banana IP. Both sessions were well-received and served as a motivating start for the new batch, showcasing the journeys of successful alumni and reinforcing the importance of professionalism, adaptability, and lifelong learning in the legal field.
