Ms. Ashwini T. G., a final-year B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering student and 2024 President of the SPE Student Chapter, has brought international laurels to Presidency University.

 

Representing the university at the OTC Asia 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ashwini secured 2nd Position (Team Category) in the Group Presentation during the Energy Education University Programme. Her team was further recognised for proposing one of the most innovative solutions to real-world industry challenges.

 

Ashwini’s selection was a remarkable feat; she was one of only 60 students chosen from 177 international applications, and the sole representative from South India. Her participation was fully funded by the conference, underscoring the calibre of her academic and professional potential.
