The orientation programme on Cambridge EVOLVE and Linguaskill aims to familiarise fifth-semester undergraduate students and first-year postgraduate students of Presidency University with contemporary English language learning resources and internationally recognised English language assessment tools.

The programme is aligned with the English Language and Communication Skills curriculum, particularly the development of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing (LSRW) skills. It complements classroom learning by highlighting the practical applications of English in academic, professional and global contexts.

Organised in collaboration with Cambridge University Press & Assessment, the programme seeks to raise awareness of innovative approaches to language learning and assessment, highlight the importance of English proficiency in higher education and employability, and encourage students to enhance their communication skills and confidence.

The programme is expected to familiarise students with Cambridge EVOLVE and Linguaskill, promote the continuous improvement of English language proficiency, and raise awareness of opportunities for academic and professional development through the collaboration between Cambridge and Presidency University.
