The Presidency University NSS Cell organised the NSS Teachers’ Day Celebration 2026 at Government High School, Kakolu, on 7 September 2026, to appreciate and honour teachers for their invaluable contribution to education and student development.

 

A total of 47 NSS student volunteers from Presidency University actively participated in the programme, along with approximately 60 students and faculty members from Government High School, Kakolu. The celebration aimed to create a joyful and interactive learning environment while strengthening the bond between NSS volunteers, students and teachers through meaningful engagement and participation.

 

The programme began with a short welcome address, followed by a series of interactive activities for the school students. These activities encouraged active participation, teamwork, confidence and creativity. A special ‘Letter to Teachers’ activity gave students an opportunity to express their gratitude and appreciation through heartfelt messages dedicated to their teachers. Interactive games, including the ‘Memory Game’ and ‘What Am I?’, added an element of fun and ensured an engaging experience for all participants.

 

The teachers shared their thoughts and experiences with the students and NSS volunteers, highlighting the importance of education, values and the teacher–student relationship. Their inspiring words added significance to the celebration and made the event memorable for everyone involved.

 

The programme was coordinated by Renuka Bhagwat, NSS Programme Coordinator, and Dr Gaman P, NSS Officer. The student coordinators for the event were Saifullah Aftab and V Leekshitha. Their effective coordination, along with the enthusiastic participation of the NSS volunteers, contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the Teachers’ Day celebration.
