The NextGen AIoT Bootcamp, scheduled for 27th & 28th February 2026 (09:00 AM – 04:00 PM), is designed to introduce participants to the emerging field of Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). The programme focuses on integrating artificial intelligence, machine learning, and IoT technologies to develop intelligent smart devices capable of real-time decision-making. The bootcamp will be inaugurated at E Block Seminar Hall 4, with hands-on technical sessions conducted in the Computer Lab, and will be led by Dr Preeth R., Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIITDM Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu.

The event covers key concepts ranging from IoT fundamentals and machine learning techniques to advanced topics such as Edge AI and TinyML, enabling the deployment of lightweight models on low-power embedded systems. Participants will gain practical exposure to sensor data analytics, model optimisation, and real-world AIoT applications in domains including agriculture, healthcare, smart cities, and industrial automation, aligned with Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 requirements.

This bootcamp is highly relevant to undergraduate and postgraduate students from Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Information Technology, and Electronics-related disciplines.
