The Mind Blossom Club of Presidency University conducted a reflective art-based therapy session titled “Beyond the Surfaces: Art, Identity and the Self” on 6 March 2026 (Friday) at the Sodexo Cafeteria on campus. The session was organised for students from the School of Commerce from 2:25 pm to 3:30 pm.

 

The activity focused on self-reflection and encouraged students to explore both the visible and hidden aspects of the self. Participants expressed their thoughts creatively using paints along with natural materials such as leaves and twigs collected from around the campus.

 

Students were guided to illustrate one side of themselves that they recognise personally on one side of the sheet, and how they believe others perceive them on the other. Following the activity, participants shared their artwork and reflected on the ideas behind their creations.

 

The session was engaging and creative, providing students with a meaningful opportunity to reflect on their identities while fostering empathy, self-awareness and understanding of others.
