Presidency School of Liberal Arts & Sciences organised a three-day lecture series on “Research Methodology: Quantitative and Qualitative Methods in the Field of Psychology" on September 12, 19 & 26, 2025. The lecture series was designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, focusing on both quantitative and qualitative research paradigms.

The resource person was Dr. Amandeep Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at MAHE, Bengaluru. Dr. Singh introduced the foundational principles of research methodology, emphasising the importance of scientific inquiry, hypothesis formulation, and ethical considerations in psychological research. He also elaborated on the structure of research designs, including experimental, correlational, and survey methods, and discussed the relevance of statistical tools in analysing psychological data.
