ITEL BUILD CLUB Launch Programme: Fostering Innovation, Prototyping and Product Development
The ITEL BUILD CLUB Launch Programme was successfully organised on 10 and 11 August 2026 by Presidency Makerspace, in collaboration with ITEL Foundation and IIT Madras Research Park, at Presidency University, Bengaluru. The two-day programme aimed to foster a strong culture of innovation, embedded systems, hardware prototyping, product development and hands-on engineering learning among students.
The event featured distinguished resource persons from ITEL Foundation — Mr Vivekanandan M., Mr Pranav Sivaraman and Mr Mahesh S. — who shared valuable insights into engineering product development, embedded systems, makerspace culture, firmware development, hardware prototyping and emerging technologies. Their sessions provided students with practical exposure to industry-oriented innovation and product engineering practices.
A major highlight of the programme was the launch of the Presidency Makerspace Magazine, showcasing student projects, research activities, start-up initiatives and innovation achievements. The event also featured start-up and student product launch presentations, along with the launch of the Wings of BUILD CLUB, envisioned as a multidisciplinary platform that encourages collaboration, experimentation, prototyping and real-world problem-solving.
On 10 and 11 August 2026, selected BUILD CLUB students participated in specialised hands-on training sessions, gaining practical experience in embedded systems, hardware development, prototyping techniques and product-oriented engineering workflows. The interactive sessions encouraged students to strengthen their technical skills and collaborate on innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
The programme concluded with the Felicitation of BUILD CLUB Champions, recognising students for their contributions to strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
Overall, the two-day programme reinforced Presidency University’s commitment to experiential learning, industry–academia collaboration, innovation-driven entrepreneurship and the development of future-ready engineers and innovators. The initiative provided students with a platform to transform ideas into prototypes and impactful technological solutions, further strengthening the University’s culture of innovation and hands-on learning.
